Strada Contractors Limited offer a variety of services ranging from full refurbishment contracts to stone/brick cleaning. Our office and site personnel are trained in each of the specialist services we offer. Our estimating/technical departments are able to offer advice and put forward specifications to suit a client's needs. We have undertaken a variety of contracts for clients such as the Ibis-Accor group, Daewoo, Securicor and are continually working on projects at Heathrow and Gatwick airports.
Refurbishment contracts:
The refurbishment side of our work has evolved, due to our clients requesting that we undertake a larger scope of work, apart from just painting. Over the last couple of years we have become more involved with undertaking refurbishment work to industrial units, hotels and residential properties. These works incorporate concrete repairs, carpentry, cladding etc.
Stone & brick cleaning:
Methods for cleaning stone and brick vary from the use of chemicals to light sand-blasting. We have used all these methods with great success and have built up a catalogue of projects and clients that have benefitted from our experience. We have a crew of personnel who are certified by the chemical suppliers in the safe use of handling and application. Our estimating/technical departments will be happy to offer advice on the most effective methods of cleaning buildings.
Painting & decorating:
Our general painting work varies from decorating residential properties to applying Fire Protection coatings to structural steelwork. Strada Contractors Limited have built up a good reputation with many of the paint manufacturers and is an approved contract partner with I.C.I.
Concrete repairs & consultancy
The company carries out specialist concrete repairs and coatings using established and well known manufacturers such as Remmers and Ronacrete. These companies' products are also used for a variety of façade coating treatments from stone strengthening and weather-proofing to anti-carbonation applications to concrete structures. Our Consultancy can also provide detailed reports on building envelope deterioration. These can also be accompanied by budget costings to aid maintenance finance projections.

CNIM
Strada was contracted by Geoffrey Osborne Ltd in 2004 to carry out the second fixing/finishing works at the new CNIM waste management site This involved Floor/wall tiling, Suspended ceiling, plastering/dry lining/floor screeding, Carpet laying and finally Painting/Decorating. Strada were used as a one stop shop and programmed/managed and delivered all the works inline with Osbornes programme.

Ibis Hotel
External redecoration consisted of chemical stripping the existing coating system and applying a Funcosil Silicone paint.
The hotel was scaffolded and treated in stages, with no inconvenience caused and the contract was sucessfully completed within the programme. Strada carried out this contract direct with the client and gave a 10 year warranty for the workmanship and coating system.

St Cross House
The concrete substrate required treating and recoating. Some areas were spalling and had to be cut back to a sound substrate. A Ronacrete repair mortar was used and a coating system applied. The work was completed by working from cradles during daytime hours.

Brookwood
The exterior of the building was cleaned during a major refurbishment contract. The brickwork was treated with a chemical as supplied by Intachem.
The Portland stone clock tower was also treated using chemicals.

Farnham
New build project carried out by Henry Jones. The photos show the state of the brick prior to cleaning and after the cleaning process is complete. Mortar staining generally will not be removed by standard brick cleaning chemicals or by pressure washing alone. As an approved applicator for Intachem, specialist cleaning methods/materials are available to us so that projects like Farnham can be completed to the satisfaction of the client.

Hilsea Gas Holders
These gas holders in Portsmouth were high pressure water jetted and then repainted in water-based coatings in more environmentally-friendly colours, taking them away from traditional grey.
